PADI Tec 50 Course

The third step of PADI's Tec Deep Diver program is the Tec 50 course. As a Tec 50 diver, you demonstrate that you've developed competency as a Tec diver and have the skills to dive to a maximum of 50 metres/165 feet. At the end of this course, you will be able to make extended, accelerated decompression stops using up to two gases.

The PADI Tec 50 course completes your training as an entry-level Tec diver, taking you past the limits of recreational diving.

What will you learn?

  • How to use technical diving equipment.

  • How to make actual decompression dives as deep as 50 metres.

  • How to use Enriched Air Nitrox and/or oxygen for decompression.

  • How to use desk top decompression software to create custom dive tables and plan your dives.

After certification you will be qualified to....

  • Plan and execute technical decompression dives independently.

  • To make extended, accelerated decompression stops using up to two gases.

You will use the Tec Deep Diver Crew-Pak, which introduces you to....

  • Tec diving terminology.

  • Emergency procedures.

  • Decompression and stage cylinder handling.

  • Gas planning.

Our PADI Tec 50 diver course package includes...

  • PADI Tec 45 diver course.

  • Rental of all Tec equipment.

  • PADI Tec deep manual & PADI certification card.

  • Pick up from the pier.

  • Great location on the beach.

Prerequisites

  • Be a PADI Tec 45 Diver.

  • Have a minimum of 100 logged dives, with at least 20 dives on enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres/60 feet and 15 dives deeper than 30 metres/100 feet.

  • Be at least 18 years old.

You also need to have a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.

Tech Diving

Course Schedule

  • Knowledge Development - conducted in our air conditioned classrooms.

  • Open Water Training - 4 x Open water training dives one of those (1st dive) confined open water dive to maximum depth of 10 metre conducted off one of our dive boats exploring the amazing coral reefs and marine life around Koh Tao.

Here at Crystal Dive, our experienced Tec/Trimix & Sidemount Instructional team conduct all PADI Tec/Rec and Sidemount Diver / Tech Sidemount Diver courses in small groups.

This ensures each student progresses at their own pace, receives lots of attention and is relaxed throughout their training as they build the confidence & competence necessary to be certified as a PADI Sidemount diver.
